Class SN & CW Volleyball Club This term we have introduced a volleyball club to the children as an afterschool activity. The children have been learning some of the basic skills and have enjoyed playing small team games. Although the ball is extremely hard the children have learnt how to use it correctly and are really enjoying learning a new and unfamiliar sport.
Violin Year 4 have continued on with their violin lessons this year and are really getting to grips with the basics. Sarah Greinig has been coming in once a week for an hour to teach the whole class and has also been taking small groups for an hour to practice some of the skills. They have already performed as a year group to the parents and are beginning to play simple tunes and their own music pieces.
Harvest Festival 2009 Harvest Festival was a great success this year and year 3 and 4 put on a fantastic performance. Everyone worked really hard in making the day a success and we managed to collect a wide variety of food to share out with the local community. Year 3AC performed a great harvest play and 3YF created some imaginative harvest poems. Year 4NS sang their hearts out to Cauliflowers Fluffy while 4CW read a story about sharing with those in need. We sang two brilliant songs called Easy Peasy and Harvest Rock and Roll and even managed to get some of the parents to clap along.
