Every Wednesday after school from 3.45pm – 4.45pm, Miss Cavallo and Mrs Gregory run a textile club for children from Years 4-6. The children undertake larger projects which they enjoy working on over a number of weeks. Learning to use a needle and thread and successfully completing wonderful creations is immensely satisfying.

Examples of projects include: sock monkeys, felt animals, T-shirt making and printing/tie-dying, cushions, patchwork and costumes for summer production. Those who are able to work independently enjoy getting on at their own pace, others, who need some support progress very quickly and learn from their friends.

These are skills the children will use throughout their lives, and some may even be budding fashion designers and makers!!
