The Planetarium

@tBristol

The Year 4 classes have enjoyed a visit

to the @tBristol Science Museum.

@tBristol is a unique destination bringing science, nature and art to life… A place of discovery and surprise! Explore is the first of its kind - A true 21st century science centre combining the best of hands-on activities with the very latest multi-media techniques. In Explore-At-Bristol science is brought alive through stunning visuals and over 170 interactive experiences.

Here is what some of the children had to say:

“I enjoyed was the planetarium because I got to see all the planets. But I ask the question: ‘why did are jumpers turn green when they were blue?’"

"I enjoyed the planetarium. It was fun because it felt like you were moving around in space. It was really fun to watch because you could learn a lot about space without realising."

"I liked the basket ball slide game it was really fun because you had to where some really fuzzy glasses and you had to try and shoot the ball in the write place. "

"I liked the pulley system, it was great! A group of girls and I took part in the activity and we had a race with the boys. The boys won! The pulley system has a rope  down through the middle of a cage. You have to stand in the cage  pull the rope and it pulls you up but if you let go of the rope you fall back down."

 "I enjoyed the workshop because we learnt about carbon dioxide (CO2) in its solid form at -80oc. Then we put it in some room temperature water and clouds of CO2 gas came pouring out out.

Then we made some cheese out of full fat milk, semi skimmed milk and skimmed milk to see which would make the most cheese out of the 5 groups. The full fat milk produced the most cheese, where the skimmed milk made the least."

Overall, it was a fantastic day out enjoyed by all. We would like to thank Somerfield and @tBristol for giving us this wonderful opportunity to visit the museum and learn many facts about the sciences.
